Siragugal Flaps its Wings

Today, Siragugal started off on a new venture – volunteer teaching at the local Govt. School.  J And S were supposed to start off the craft classes; but were so nervous about doing something they’d never done before , so I went along for moral support.

It was good interacting with the boys, who are all craving for attention and a little diversion. Saying class was very successful is an understatement.

And for me, going out and being with friends is so uplifting. Seeing the enthusiasm of the craft master/ the Asst HM is all so good – shining lights in a jaded system. The craft master seems to have revived by our support. Craft obviously takes a back seat in the educational system and he has no funds allotted to him. He’s become so enthusiastic ; he wants to clean out a classroom, furnish it, put in a cupboard and stock it with material.

Lighting a fire under someone warms one up so much.
